If you are new to computing, just purchased a new computer or are interested in learning about the basics of computing than this class is for you. Users will learn to navigate around the computer screen with the mouse, identify parts of the computer, and understand basic knowledge of the operating system as well as briefly explore the basics of using the internet. Additionally, users will be able to practice new skills with hands-on activities.

Description:
This all day event will have laptop computers set up in the meeting room, so that you can come in at any time during the workshop hours to prepare your resume and leave when you finish. A Baker Reference staff member will help you to find and use resume templates, to update an existing resume, help you to submit a resume online or to help insert a resume into an online job application. You will receive a handout with helpful hints for resume building and a list of resume help websites. Computer usage will be limited on a first come first served basis with a maximum limit of 8 at a time. Please bring a USB jump drive in order to save your finished resume.
